‘For 21 years we tangled our minds and hearts together’

I’ve made my admiration for Lou Reed and his music very clear in this space, and since his death, that relationship I have with him has only grown deeper. I’m now beginning to extend that respect to Laurie Anderson as well. Check out her tribute to Lou at his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction this past April.

If you didn’t get that, here are their three rules to live by:

  1. Don’t be afraid of anyone.
  2. Get a really good bullshit detector
  3. Be really, really tender.

That is all.
