The Top 4 Presidents Of This Millennium
According to the most recent Siena College Research Institute’s (SRI) Survey of U.S. Presidents, Bush ranked 39 out of 43 presidents. That is not just recently bad, that’s historically bad. He is literally one of the worst presidents ever. The survey cited his deficiencies in “handling the economy, communication, ability to compromise, foreign policy accomplishments and intelligence.”
#3 Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton occupied the office of presidency for the first year plus 20 days of this millennium. During that time, he was not impeached, nor did he start any wars or ruin the economy. His 386-day lame-duck presidency was way better than Bush’s two terms.
#2 Barack Obama
It’s too early to fully judge Obama’s tenure as president, as he hasn’t even begun his second term, but it certainly can’t be as bad as Bush’s was. I mean even the Republicans hate Bush. And he did get Health Care enacted.
#1 Al Gore
For about 20 glorious minutes on November 7, 2000, we believed that Al Gore had been elected the 43rd President of the United States. Think of it. No Iraq War. No complete erosion of America’s global stature. Meaningful legislation for renewable energy and climate change. Of course, the reality is that Gore was never president. But as with so many things, the reality we imagine is often better than the reality we actually have.
