The Top Five Movies From The 50s And 60s

These are the five most memorable classics of American cinema, from the 1950’s and 60’s. These movies are a bridge from the Golden Age of Hollywood in the 30’s and 40’s to the revolutionary reimagining of American film that happens in the 70’s.

The movies on the list:

2001: A Space Odyssey
Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid
Lawrence Of Arabia
On The Waterfront
Rear Window

That’s a pretty fantastic list, with all the movies on the AFI Top 100, but there are some films that were tough to leave off. To name just a few, there’s The Graduate, Rebel Without A Cause, and two more Hitchcock movies, Psycho and Vertigo.

As always, please forgive the state of my Covid hair. I’m scared to go to the barber!
