Monkey Looks Gift Horse In The Mouth, Finds Grape

The Chaos Factory loves it when monkeys get their comeuppance. We reported on their greedy behavior once before, but here’s another example. Be warned, this graphic display of monkey cupidity is not safe for small children:

So one stupid monkey refuses to eat the snack its been given because some other stupid monkey got a grape instead of a cracker. It was happy with the cracker when there weren’t any other options, but once it saw that grapes were a possibility, it refused to accept the cracker.

If I have ever seen proof of our evolutionary superiority over primates, this is it. Except it turns out that humans behave in the exact same manner. Read about it here. The human subjects will reject free money if they think their share is too unfair, even if everyone knows that something is better than nothing. So it turns out that humans are just as stupid as monkeys after all.

This makes me hate monkeys even more.
