Work

Our society has managed to hide away the most menial jobs so they remain out of site. Walls have been put up–perhaps not literal walls, but barriers and fences–that keep these tasks away from the public.

Over time, not only the jobs themselves, but the laborers who perform them also become isolated. Society no longer wants to see them, because they are reminders of the jobs themselves.

We only catch glimpses of this working class, like dolphins surfacing for a breath of air before returning to their undersea world.
