To get things started at Mad Science, I’m going to quickly introduce the main topics of research we will be tackling. Feel free to contribute any way you see fit, whether it’s with questions, comments, links, or your own research. By gathering all the best minds in the field and concentrating them on finding workable solutions, I expect time travel to be achieved in our lifetime.
Time travel is the concept of moving between different points in time in a manner analogous to moving between different points in space. Time travel could hypothetically involve moving backward in time to a moment earlier than the starting point, or forward to the future of that point without the need for the traveler to experience the intervening period (at least not at the normal rate). Any technological device – whether fictional or hypothetical – that would be used to achieve time travel is commonly known as a time machine.
Time Machines have been the subject of extensive investigation, both in terms of theoretical debates and practical experimentation. To date, no one has been able to crack the riddle, or definitively determine if Time Travel is possible or not.
Much like Kennedy set the United States on a course for the moon by declaring his intention to get us there, I am doing the same. I intend to travel back in time, ride on top of a triceratops, and take a photograph of me doing so.
Help me make this dream a reality.
