The engine gives out and we\u2019re about to crash. I guide the plane as best I can and brace for impact. Then there\u2019s blackness. <\/p>\n

When I wake, Ted has a blank stare, and his head is twisted in an awkward position. He\u2019s dead. <\/p>\n

The bone in my left ankle is protruding from the skin and I\u2019m having trouble breathing. I\u2019m sure I\u2019ve ruptured my ribs. <\/p>\n

The door is jammed and I can\u2019t walk. The airplane will soon explode and there\u2019s nowhere to go. I say a silent prayer and close my eyes.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a crackling noise, flames and then nothing.<\/strong><\/p>\n
