Steamy chocolate swirled to the ceiling, taking me back to the time I watched mother make the same recipe. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDarn!\u201d my inner voice screamed. \u201cCornstarch lumps!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I reached for the blender. Meantime I detected a slight burning cocoa smell and set the dessert sauce aside.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFifteen minutes left!\u201d the announcer yelled.<\/p>\n<p>A panel of judges awaited each contestant\u2019s creations. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cInteresting combination with chicken,\u201d one stated, sampling mine. \u201cThere\u2019s brandy. Definitely chocolate. Cherries are divine.
