He is wearing his best suit.<\/p>\n<p>He bought it thirty-seven years ago, when he was first invited to read to the fifth grade Miss Dolores has taught for so long. He had written two children\u2019s short stories in his life. Miss Dolores loved both.<br \/>\nToday he will be reading for the last time. Miss Dolores is retiring and her successor doesn\u2019t believe in reading by &#8216;a failed writer.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What are you going to do now?&#8221; I asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWrite new stories,\u201d he replied adamantly.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe he&#8217;ll write short stories about a sweet donkey like you, Platero.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>From Guest Contributor Herv\u00e9 Suys<\/p>\n<p>Herv\u00e9 (\u00b01968 \u2013 Ronse, Belgium) started writing short stories whilst recovering from a sports injury and he hasn\u2019t stopped since.
