On any other day Geoff would have braked, but today something compelled him to floor the accelerator.<\/p>\n<p>His wife, Janet, looked over, alarmed. &#8220;What are you doing?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Grim-faced, Geoff focused on the road ahead. The light went red.
