Mabel did. Sensing the scratchy sound originated outside, they opened the front door. Before them stood a feline pulsating a ferocious \u201cmeow.\u201d Seeing the humans, he stopped.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s staring at us,\u201d Kevin noticed.<\/p>\n<p>The cat turned to go back to the sidewalk. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s follow,\u201d Mabel figured. <\/p>\n<p>They ended in a backyard. The cat went through a pet flap in the house. When he reappeared, he stood on a table by a bedroom window.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin propped himself up on a patio chair and peered inside.
