And why wouldn\u2019t they? What do they know about synthesizers, electronic percussion, or the meditative properties of fluid melody transformation? For them, the fountain\u2019s water, singing its spontaneous aria, is life itself; is the music without which their lives\u2014all lives\u2014would cease to exist. <\/p>\n<p>I reach out and tap the laptop\u2019s mute. <\/p>\n<p>Some creatures\u2014most creatures\u2014know far more than I.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>From Guest Contributor Ron.
